Messiah serie is the first official serie of 2020 that we have chosen to talk about. So the story is about a CIA officer (Michelle Monaghan as Eva Geller), and an agent for the Israeli Special Froces (Tomer Sisley as Aviram Dahan), who both investigate a man (Mehdi Dehbi as Messiah). This man is caliming to be Jesus. He attracted international attention and followers through the acts of public disruption. Hence, they embark on a total pursuit mission to uncover wither he is divine being or a deceptive con artist.
The best way to judge a serie is buy how many times you get up to use the bathroom! If you sit through the entire serie without getting up once it was a good serie. Messiah serie is definitly one of those.

There is actually a lot to talk about. The actors roles, the choosed sitting, especially, the controversy surrounding the trailer that dropped on Netflix:
About the serie
First, when you finish watching the trailer, you obviously would say ” oh, is this going to be too much of one thing, or is it going to not execute on its premise?”
Similarly, and from a filmmaking perspective, its premise is interesting enough. They have captured what they were going for, and displayed well on screen without being overwhelming and overdoing.
Messiah serie did really good job of captivating its audience. Without having to cram a bunch of action on screen, they were very slow-paced and slow-moving show at times.
However, it focuses way more on the dialogue than what you would expect. Every twist and turn and every character interaction will catch you, and the way the story is told is not just focusing on one event.
In addition, we believe that the beauty of the serie resides in the fact that everyone is going to want answers this character of Messiah. Who is this mysterious figure/being, why these miracles are happening all around him everywhere he goes? that’s a part of the intrigue of the serie, and what makes it one of the best series of this year.
